Our repairs are based on industry standards.  Tolerances are based on our extensive experience at major manufacturers and are normally based on API 610, API 682, API 674 and Hydraulic Institute requirements.  Non-OEM repairs are held to these same high standards.

Typical dimensional tolerances for manufactured parts would be:

Bare shaft run out (horizontal pump):  .001” max.
Assembled rotor run out:  .002” max.
Stuffing Box concentricity:  .003” max.
Stuffing Box face run out:  .002” max.
Shaft size at a ball bearing fit: .0003” - .0007” total
     (depending on the size of the shaft.)
Shaft size at a sleeve bearing fit:
  .0005” total.
Balance tolerance of slip fit components: 4W/N or better.
Balance tolerance of interference fit components:  2W/N
     or better.
